The pleasure-seeking biker

Soaking up natural landscapes

Soaking up the natural landscape, exploring the area on the bike, experiencing the sights and local culture, taking advantage of rest stops and photo opportunities and covering a whole load of mileage in the meantime. Various cycle paths graded easy to moderate criss-cross the region and invite you to savour the beauties of the landscape and localities.

Weekly programme MTB tours

Here's a look at our guided tours, each of them leaving nothing to be desired.

"Bergdoktor" e-Bike tour

The weekly TV series Der Bergdoktor (The Mountain Doctor), which follows the personal and professional highs and lows of Dr. Martin Gruber played out at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser, has achieved cult status and put the region on the international map. This cycle tour takes us through the original series locations so we find ourselves "live" in the weekly comings and goings of the series.

Grading: moderate Distance: 28 km Duration: 3 hours
Ascent: 400 m Descent: 400 m

Around the Kalkstein

Alongside a number of ascents and descents, this tour offers breathtaking insights into and outlooks over the local landscape. The ride takes us via Reitham and Fieberbrunn to St. Jakob in Haus, past the cable car to the Buchensteinwand on top of which the famous Jakobskreuz is situated. We then cycle on through idyllic landscapes via St. Ulrich am Pillersee and St. Adolari with its small and well-known church of pilgrimage. From here we enter the wild and romantic Öfenschlucht, a special natural monument, before the tour – after a stop at the renowned Clemens Holzmeister church in Erpfendorf – returns to the hotel.

Grading: moderate Distance: 28 km Duration: 3 hours
Ascent: 400 m Descent: 400 m

Alpine pasture tour

This tour takes us through all kinds of alpine pastures on the Kitzbühel Horn. Every pasture affords spectacular views across the region, and the higher you go the further you can see. Several inns are located right alongside these pastures and invite passers-by to stay a while and enjoy the natural landscape to the full.

Grading: moderate Distance: 28 km Duration: 3 hours
Ascent: 400 m Descent: 400 m
