close to the hotel
Sentido alpenhotel Kaiserfels offers the ideal starting point for hikes in and around Sankt Johann. Our hiking info boards and signs outside of the hotel help you to quickly get your bearings, so you’ll be able to set off on one of the hiking routes around the hotel without any detours.
The 25 metre-high waterfall cascades into the valley. Experience the full effect of the falls from the top viewing point, and feel gentle splashes of water on your face. This is particularly refreshing on hot days. The hiking route starts and ends at the Sentido alpenhotel Kaiserfels. The last few metres leading to the waterfall are made easier with bridges and steps.

KoasaTrail E 4
The trail ends in the immediate vicinity of the Sentido alpenhotel Kaiserfels. The hotel is just a 10 minute walk from Almdorf. The tour starts in the Griessbachklamm (Griessbach Gorge) car park. We recommend going there by taxi. The first part of the hike leads through the Griessbach Gorge, one of the region’s natural highlights. At the end of the gorge, head towards Angerlalm and Huberalm, until the Jägersteig route branches off to the right. It is worth stopping in Angerlalm. Once you have recovered, continue towards Obingalm and Adlerspoint, before heading in the direction of Baumoosalm and Baumooskogel. On arrival, you will have covered most of the route. Head downhill from here, towards St. Johann in Tyrol, and from Almdorf to the hotel.
